Ann Hibbins was a resident of Boston, Massachusetts during the late 17th century. She was accused of being a witch and was one of the last individuals to be executed for witchcraft in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Ann Hibbins was married to William Hibbins, who was a wealthy merchant and a member of the Massachusetts General Court. She was accused of witchcraft by several individuals who testified against her in court. Despite her husband's attempts to defend her, Ann was found guilty and sentenced to death. She was hanged on June 19, 1656. Ann Hibbins's story is often remembered as an example of the dangers of mass hysteria and the persecution of innocent individuals during the era of the Salem Witch Trials.
